The medicine we serve is prepared with reverence, using sustainably harvested Banisteriopsis caapi vine and Psychotria viridis leaf sourced directly from a Shipibo community cooperative in Pucallpa, Peru, a partnership we have maintained since 2012. The brew is cooked on-site for 14 days, a meticulous process overseen by our lead facilitator. This commitment to authenticity is central to every aspect of our shamanic retreat in Bali. The Inquiry and Application Process

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, our intake process is thorough and multi-staged. The path to joining one of our retreats follows four distinct steps:

• Step 1: Initial Inquiry Submission. Complete the secure contact form below. Provide as much detail as you feel comfortable sharing about your intentions. This initial contact is received directly by our intake coordinator.
• Step 2: Receive Information & Application. Within 4 business hours, you will receive a comprehensive information packet via email. This document details our protocols, provides a full retreat schedule, and includes our confidential medical and psychological application form.
• Step 3: Private Consultation. Upon our review of your completed application, we will invite you to a private 30-minute video consultation. This call allows us to connect, answer your specific questions, and mutually determine if our retreat is the appropriate container for your journey.
• Step 4: Acceptance & Confirmation. Following a successful consultation, you will receive a formal letter of acceptance and a secure link to submit your deposit of USD $800 to confirm your place. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the retreat start date.

Ayahuasca Ceremony Bali: Our Sacred Protocol

An ayahuasca ceremony is a sacred and highly structured event. Our protocol is built upon more than 20 years of collective experience in holding space for this profound work. Each ceremony is held in a traditional, open-air Balinese pavilion, known as a wantilan, which allows for a deep connection to the natural energies of the surrounding forest. Ceremonies begin shortly after dusk, around 7:00 PM, and conclude in the early morning hours.

The participant-to-facilitator ratio is a critical element of our safety framework. We limit each retreat to a maximum of 12 participants, with a dedicated team of four staff present in every ceremony: one lead facilitator, two experienced space-holders, and a registered nurse with certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). This 1-to-3 ratio ensures that each participant receives attentive, immediate, and compassionate support whenever it is needed. This level of care is fundamental to a responsible Ubud ayahuasca experience. Following each ceremony, a formal integration circle is held the next day to help participants process and ground their insights.

Pak Dewa (Integration & Support): A fifth-generation Balinese Balian (healer), Pak Dewa brings the wisdom of his ancestral lineage to the integration process. He does not lead ceremonies but specializes in the energetic and spiritual support required after deep medicine work, helping participants ground their experiences within the unique context of Balinese spirituality. His family has been a guardian of their village temple for over 200 years.

Preparing for Your Bali Plant Medicine Retreat

Proper preparation is essential for a safe and beneficial experience with ayahuasca. Upon acceptance into our retreat, you will receive a detailed 35-page preparation guide. However, the core principles of preparation, known as the dieta, are universal. This is not merely a diet but a practice of purifying the body, mind, and spirit to become a clear vessel for the medicine.

Key preparation requirements include:

• Dietary Discipline: For a minimum of 14 days prior to the retreat, you must abstain from red meat, pork, alcohol, caffeine, fermented foods, excessive salt, sugar, and spicy foods. This purifies the body and is a critical safety measure.
• Medication & Supplements: You must disclose all medications and supplements on your application. SSRIs and MAOIs are strictly contraindicated with ayahuasca and must be discontinued under your doctor’s supervision well in advance of a retreat.
• Intention Setting: We encourage a practice of quiet contemplation and journaling in the weeks leading up to your arrival. Clarifying your intention—the “why” behind your decision to attend—is a powerful tool for navigating the experience.
